About

My name is Amélie Dumont, I live and work in France, near Paris. This website is a documentation of what I create and the workshops I made, spanning several disciplines: graphic design, coding, typography and textile design. For all these projects, I use only free and open-source softwares.

I believe that the choice of tools used by a designer or developer is not neutral; it is an integral part of the approach and influences the creative process. Placing my practice within the free software movement allows me to create or modify tools according to the needs of each project, but also to seek out graphic vocabularies and technical paradigms other than those produced by proprietary software. My work places a strong emphasis on experimentation with digital tools, as I want to explore the possibilities they offer and make their unique characteristics visible in my projects.

You can contact me by email, or find me on Mastodon or Instagram. You can also find the source code for my projects on my GitLab repository.
